Doconomy Expands its North American Footprint Through Partnership with Numerica Credit Union Launching “DreamUp” to Advance Financial Wellbeing

Doconomy announced a new partnership with Numerica Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in the Pacific Northwest, managing over $5 billion in assets and serving more than 175,000 members. The partnership marks the introduction of Doconomy's “Impact Finance” product to the U.S. credit union market through the launch of DreamUp, Numerica’s new goal-based savings experience.

Stockholm, Thursday March 12, 2026 - Doconomy, a leading impact fintech company providing financial institutions with innovative tools to drive financial wellbeing and sustainability worldwide, today announced a new partnership with Numerica Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in the Pacific Northwest, managing over $5 billion in assets and serving more than 175,000 members.

The partnership expands Doconomy’s footprint in North America and marks the introduction of its “Impact Finance” product to the U.S. credit union market through the launch of DreamUp, Numerica’s new goal-based savings experience. Doconomy’s Impact Finance, a behavioral science based UX solution, is designed to drive customer engagement, reinforce positive behavior, and ultimately encourage saving, as well as investments, to enhance financial wellbeing.

Helping members live well with DreamUp

As a member-owned, not-for-profit financial cooperative, Numerica is guided by its core purpose, enhancing lives, fulfilling dreams, and building communities.  This philosophy shifts the focus from transactions to holistic financial wellness, measuring success not solely by account balances alone, but by members’ ability to utilize their finances as a tool to fund their dreams and strengthen their communities.

To further enhance this commitment, Numerica has launched DreamUp, a fully embedded and white-labelled solution powered by Doconomy’s Impact Finance product.

Seamlessly integrated into Numerica’s mobile app, DreamUp enables members to create a personalized ‘dream’ - whether saving for the down payment for a new home, a car, solar panels, a rainy-day fund, a weekend getaway, school costs, or the latest gadget.

DreamUp also includes popular Savehacks - fun and easy ways to save toward dreams, often linked to small changes in everyday habits. Savehacks empower members to spend intentionally and move closer to their goals, while benefiting both their wallet and the planet. Some of the Savehacks Numerica has activated include:

  • The Rocket: saving small amounts while playing a game

  • The Squirrel: automatically saving a surprise amount, on a surprise day

  • Bring Your Own Bag, or Buy Pre-Loved Goods: sustainability inspired Savehacks that shift a small spending habit

By combining leading behavioral science with intuitive design, DreamUp transforms saving from a passive activity into an engaging, motivating, goal-driven journey. DreamUp was live in Numerica's test environment in under two months, showing how rapidly the solution can be deployed for members to start using.

Early engagement signals strong member adoption

Launched in October 2025, DreamUp is already 30% ahead of schedule on first-year member adoption targets, without large-scale marketing support.

Early results show members actively saving toward meaningful milestones such as mortgage down-payments and vehicle purchases. By enabling members to share their saving intentions directly within the mobile experience, Numerica gains deeper insight into member aspirations - strengthening relationships and creating opportunities for more personalized, supportive engagement through direct destination-based savings insights.

“DreamUp is a powerful example of how Numerica brings our purpose to life,” said KayCee Murray, Chief Technology Officer at Numerica. “We are excited to provide our members a simple, engaging, and meaningful way to achieve their dreams and save for the milestones that matter most to them. The launch of DreamUp is reflective of our commitment to innovation and our work to enhance lives, fulfill dreams and build communities.”

“We are very proud to partner with Numerica Credit Union to support the financial wellbeing of their members,” said Mathias Wikström, CEO & Co-Founder of Doconomy. “By integrating Doconomy’s technology, Numerica is demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing financial wellbeing across all generations, and we are proud to contribute to their market-leading mission.  Through Doconomy they can leverage years of behavioral science research, proven methodologies, and battle-tested solutions.”

With established partnerships across Europe, Africa, and now North America, Doconomy continues to scale its Impact Finance offering globally. This offering not only empower individuals to improve their financial wellbeing, but also deliver tangible business results for institutions, including increased customer acquisition, higher deposit growth, and opportunities for up- and cross-selling.

The partnership with Numerica reinforces Doconomy’s commitment to supporting purpose-driven financial institutions that seek to differentiate through user-centric, behavior-driven innovation, and reflects growing demand across North America for digital solutions that promote financial confidence, reduce anxiety, and encourage intentional money management.
