AI infrastructure as a lever for the energy transition
Recorded live at the Doconomy Stage of Impact Studio Session hosted at the Chrysler Building, during Climate Week NYC. The rapid build-out of AI infrastructure is creating enormous new demand for power, grid capacity, and capital. How can this demand be used to accelerate, rather than hinder, the clean energy transition?
This conversation will explore how the AI infrastructure boom could help unlock new clean energy and stronger grids, bringing together perspectives on infrastructure investment, energy-system planning, and open energy data to ask what it would take to turn that opportunity into practice. It seeks to identify opportunities, as well as some barriers to this development, learning from leading practitioners.
